Legendary in all the right ways the 911 is for most, the pinnacle of Porsche engineering and design. The rear mounted 3.6L engine is more than capable of punching some serious power to the rear wheel drive system. This has been the benchmark for most serious car manufacturers for decades with performance, handling, look and feel often the inspiration for many high end rivals. Famed for its fantastic handling and performance abilities - rider comfort and drive quality is a real key feature of this car.

Coming to market with just under ~40k on the clock at time of visit, this is a lovely example of a well cared for and admired Carrera. The metallic black against the black leather interior is a true standout which just screams class and style. Plus add a Pioneer sat-nav, a recently refurbished set of 19" Porsche wheels, new discs, pads, a recent paint protection system and this 911 is absolutely ready for its new owner.

I've not had a car which sounds as good as it looks and performs and with an upgraded exhaust system the engine noise is just so addictive!

With unmistakable elegance, characterising Porsche since the 60's, this is an iconic sports performance car ready for all seasons.

Wheels and Tyres

The car is fitted with Carrera S 19"s and with a recent refurbishment we think you'll agree that these look to be in a great condition. The emblem's look really nice set in the centre of the rims - the condition continues over to the tyres where we noted a clean set of Michelin Pilot Sport's holding the 911 to the ground.

We also noticed Ryan has an eye for detail with the emblems all pointing to the tyre valve - those in the know, know.

Bodywork

Sills, shut lines and panelling all look to be in a great condition around the Carrera. It was lovely to see the car looking so proud especially in the light. Its apparent the Porsche has been loved by Ryan, the current owner - looking around the car we struggled to find areas of the bodywork that caused a cause for concern.

Paint

A Porsche with this level of care and attention given to it is a wonderful sight indeed, noted in the paperwork section is the paint protection system that has been applied which appears to have worked its magic across the car. There were minor marks on the bonnet but nothing that gave us any real concern. With the metallic paint giving a real lustre over the finish, its the kind of quality that makes you want to really take the time to admire these beautiful lines.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these hi-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

Glass and Trim

Reflecting the condition the rest of the car, the glass and trim show in a great condition with no major cause for concern that we noted looking around on our visit. If we were being particularly fussy, the windscreen has some slight stone peppering in select places. The screen itself looks to be original and given the registration date of the Carrera, is in keeping with the condition of the rest of the car. The tinted windows add a real sense of style and class to the exterior setting off the black on black finish nicely.

Interior

Thrilling to drive and easy to live with modern conveniences give the owner welcome driver comforts - with an interior just as stylish as its bodywork, it's clear to see why Porsche remains a cut above many other manufacturers.

Seats and Carpets

Porsche class doesn't just stop across the exterior, heading inside the Carrera, style is apparent as soon as you sit in the drivers seat. Welcoming leather seating wraps you inside the cabin area with plush, branded carpets in the footwells. Stitching shows well across the seating and makes for a great place to take in the road ahead. We noted some slight creasing on the leathers but nothing that caused an issue for us on initial observation.

Dashboard

With leather bound dash and door panels, the car gives you a great sense of belonging.

The dash is in very good condition and as you can see the centre console has been sprayed in a darker colour - similar to that on the Gen2 version.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

As soon as you get 'hands on' with the wheel you know this is a car that wants to be driven. The iconic Porsche emblem sits well inset with the 3 spoke wheel. The trim looks good around the wheel and compliments the gaiter covering the gear selector.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary across the Porsche's interior; iconic style, great design flair and well cared for.

Mechanics

Stunning performance and responsive handling with enough added technology and modern features to make this Porsche a great daily driver.

Engine and Gearbox

We noted no issues from the cold start which we've highlighted in the 'Cold start' section of the Mechanical review video.

Take a look over the video for yourselves to hear the 911 fire up from cold and take in the lovely sounds of the 3.6L engine. We go into further detail about the Carrera and take it out on some local roads to get a better sense of what this Porsche is really all about.

Suspension and Brakes

New discs and pads have been added to the Porsche with the braking system working well when out on our road test. Suspension showed no sign of issue with no knocking or banging heard when we were in the car or out on the road.

The Drive

The Porsche is really a lovely place to be and a real head turner, what's more exciting than seeing one of these on the road?

With a smooth and enjoyable ride, the Carrera is such a fun car. Class, style, well cared for, quick off the mark and renowned branding - this is everything a Porsche should be and more.

Electrics and Other

Added features such as; Pioneer nav pack, park assist and a Bose sound system add the little driver comforts that are easy to forget when you have a powerhouse like this. A large screen heads up the interior area but doesn't interfere with the overall atheistic. The owner reports that everything works as it should including the air con system which we felt to be working well when out on the road.

History and Paperwork

Coming to market with just under ~40k on the clock at time of visit, this is a lovely example of a well cared for and admired Carrera.

We've detailed the MOT certificates and receipts for services carried out in the paperwork gallery section. The Porsche carries 2 keys as well as the drivers log book which is a nice additional feature. Also contained within the log book is the owners manual as well as vehicle support booklets and information.

You mention having a borescope before you bought the car. I cant see any results from the scope on the detail of history. do you have a report?

Hello. Yes I had the car borescoped in May 2022. There is a picture of the report in the photo section. The results came back 100% clean and the car shows no signs of engine wear at all. No white smoke on start-up, no heavy oil usage, no blackened exhaust tips. It’s as good an example as you’ll see on the market. Thanks. Ryan

Due to the reserve needle not moving, have you got a realistic reserve? Yes it’s low mileage but this will soon be an 11 owner car, not 3 or 4 that the 30k ones get? Just want to make sure we are on the same page, Thankyou

Hey Ash, thanks for your interest but please please read the listing thoroughly… the IMS is mentioned in the heading, engine section and there’s receipts for it in the paperwork… all done in 2014. All maintenance is detailed in the paperwork. Cheers Adam
