Introduction
Darren Rungasamy
This is an investment level car with all the right ingredients - manual 'S' / desirable colour way / low owners / low mileage / service history / Sports Chrono / non-sunroof etc.
It's never a difficult decision to choose a Porsche 911 as a way to enjoy a balanced driving experience, with its well-established credentials for engineering, poise, style and resale values intact. Choose carefully and keep on top of the maintenance, you’ll have a car that will never disappoint. The only dilemma is which model to pick within your budget. With so many decent 997-era Porsches available, you can afford to be choosy and opt for the exact colour and spec you’ve set your heart on, and this is possibly where this 2005 Carrera S with a 3.8-litre engine, manual gearbox, Carrera S lowered suspension on 19” alloys and uprated brakes comes in.
It has a mileage of just ~25,150 miles that's backed up with MOT and service records. Finished in the subtle and timeless Seal Grey metallic, it comes with the desirable Sports Chronograph Plus package, an updated DAB multimedia system and £4,500 worth of invoices spent over the last 3 years. This is certainly one of the best, if not the best, investor level quality 997 Carrera S on the market today.

Hi Stuart, could you please tell me whether you have had a bore score check, if so what was the result?
Hi – sorry for the late reply. The car hasn’t had a bore score check under my ownership
Hi Stuart, has the spare key turned up? If you can’t find it, will you be supplying the car with a new one? Many thanks.
Hi – the spare has not yet turned up. I am searching for it, but suggest that any bids take account of the missing key. (I do have the black plastic emergency key)
Hi Stuart. Is the sports exhaust the original standard Porsche fitment, the PSE option, or aftermarket? I note its says it has had some work to improve it? many thanks Andy
Hi,
I took the car to PCW Exhaust Mods in Bedford in January 2023 who carried out the modification, and the car now sounds so much better IMO.
Thanks Stuart. Has the car used much oil between services? thanks
Hi – I have not had to top up oil between annual services since I have owned the car
Thanks. Did Brookspeed recommend the yearly oil services with it being a 997.1 used on shorter journeys?
Hi, whilst it is only necessary to have the car serviced every two years, I made the decision to have the car serviced annually to keep on top of any maintenance. It was not to do with short journeys; just to ensure the car remained in prime condition. Hope that answers the question.
Yes it does and an excellent decision in my view.
Hi, do you have the invoice for the service done in 2020 at 12,547 miles ?…
Hi, no I do not have the invoice as Brookspeed did the service at their cost on purchase of the car. The service book was stamped by Brookspeed to record that the service was carried out. Hope that clarifies.
Have you had the car checked for potential bore scoring
Hi – no the car has not been checked for potential bore scoring
