Introduction
Kevin Lou Jacutan
The best 911 Carrera of its time, the ultimate 4S 997.2 compiles half a century of supercar refinement.
The Porsche 911 (997) was manufactured between 2004 and 2013. In 2009 Porsche updated the 997 line-ups, introducing styling changes, a revised engine, and the introduction of the company's new dual-clutch transmission, known as 'PDK'.
These new models were faster, lighter and more fuel-efficient. On launch, the 997.2 was an instant hit among fans and motoring press worldwide. Even Jeremy Clarkson noted the 997 will "make love to your fingertips and stir your soul."
This 911 997.2 Carrera 4S is a refined modern classic presented in the popular factory colour scheme, Grey over black leather with excellent service history, having been owned by Richard for the previous 2 years.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Kevin after meeting Richard the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
I have been told that the 997’s suffer from ims bearing failure, can you tell if you have had any problems
It was an issue on the 997.1 and porsche remedied it on the 2nd gen. never had any issues at all with that
I note there are two MOT advisories regarding tyres, have they been replaced?
Yes tyres in good shape

Suspect it was there to remind them to complete but nothing on it and not covering anything of note
What is the blue post it note covering next to the 2020 brake fluid change record?
Morning Richard, does the car come with Jack, toolkit and service wallet.

Can I ask why the right hand engine lid snorkel is installed 180 degrees in the wrong direction? (image 24 of the mechanical images). The one on the left is installed correctly and will match with the air intake box when the engine lid is lowered. The right hand one will not…
Hi Richard.
Did Jasmine conduct any form of inspection to produce a report you can share please? How would you describe the paintwork please are there any stone chips, scratches or swirl marks? Did you have the wheels painted, are you prepared to get them re-done before sale. How are the seat bolsters for wear?
Thanks,
Andy
All paperwork is as shown.
The wheels were painted before I acquired the car and as per the detail provided by Trade Classics there is one small chip on one wheel.
The paintwork is in excellent shape for a 2009 car but again as per the trade classic info there are a few minor marks as you would expect for a car of the age and mileage.
Is there an “over rev” report available ?
Hi
There isn’t one available but I would be very confident it has never exceeded maximum recommended revs. In the 18 months I have had it’s had everything it’s ever needed doing at a porsche specialist and they have never flagged anything.
Would it be possible to obtain one ?
If you are the winning bidder and you require one then I will certainly obtain one.
Hi, there seems to be a large gap between first 2 services of 30,000 miles and just over 3 years, is this right?
Yes it’s as shown.
Am I able to view the C4S. I live in Swansea.
Yes indeed, please send us an email to hello@tradeclassics.com to arrange. Thanks, Kulraj – Trade Classics
Lovely 911! What model of sports exhaust has been fitted? The tailpipes look like the standard exhaust to me. Thanks!
