Introduction

Paul Wright
Professional Consigner

Built to give you a taste of pure driving pleasure, it’s like having your cake and eating it - but the cake is made of German engineering, and the icing is ~394bhp.

The 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet blends performance, luxury, and open-top driving. As part of the 991-generation, it features a sleek, aerodynamic design with a fully automatic fabric roof that opens in just ~13 seconds at speeds up to ~31 mph.

Powered by a 3.8L flat-six, it produces ~395 bhp and ~325 lb-ft of torque, delivering a 0-60 mph time in just ~4.1 seconds (with PDK and Sport Chrono) and a ~187 mph top speed. Available with a 7-speed manual or PDK, it features Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and optional rear-wheel steering, ensuring sharp handling and stability.

The driver-focused cabin includes premium materials, a 7-inch touchscreen, and optional Bose audio. The sports leather seats provide comfort for both spirited drives and long journeys. Despite its performance focus, it offers practicality with a frunk and small rear seats.

Have we sold it to you yet? If not, you will soon be itching to bid to win this fantastic 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera S Convertible which comes to market after ~8 and a half years with our vendor and just ~21,321 miles, it comes with a current MOT valid until 10.06.2025 too. This is perfect for anyone looking for a convertible PDK 911 just in time for summer.

This listing was written from information supplied by Paul after meeting Graeme the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Meet the owner

"We purchased the 911 for my wife to use around eight and half years ago, but she's covered less than ~1,000 miles each year."

Graeme purchased this stunning 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera S Convertible in 2016 with the initial plan that his wife would use it as their daily driver. However, life had other plans, and the 911 quickly evolved into more of a weekend car rather than the daily commuter it was intended to be. As a result, the car has seen very limited use, averaging less than ~1,000 miles per year.

With a recent shift in the household's vehicle arrangements, this low-mileage 911 Carrera S Convertible is now looking for its next home. With its excellent condition and the added benefit of low mileage, this exceptional Porsche presents a rare opportunity for a new owner to enjoy the thrills of open-top driving, luxury, and precision engineering without the wear and tear typically associated with daily use.

Exterior

Where sculpted curves meet open-air thrills, making every driveway feel like a red carpet entrance!

Wheels and Tyres

The original wheels are in good condition, apart from the nearside front wheel, which has a very light kerb mark that a local specialist could easily repair. The matching set of Pirelli P-Zero tyres have a good amount of tread remaining but have started to crack from lack of use.

Bodywork

Walking around the 911, the bodywork is excellent, with no dings or dents spotted, and all the panel gaps are visually equal.

The convertible roof is also in excellent condition, with no marks or damage, and it lowers itself in the allocated time. It can also be operated at speeds up to ~31 mph.

We've provided high-resolution images and videos detailing our observations, so please take the time to review all media files for a comprehensive view of the car’s condition.

Paint

Finished in the stunning Agate Grey Metallic, the paintwork is superb. There are a handful of minor stone chips, but it has to be said these are minor, and there is a small scuff to the lower side of the front bumper, which is virtually underneath, so it is difficult to see.

Images have been taken from various angles to present the car as you would see it in person. Please take the time to fully assess these high-resolution images and videos to form your own opinion on the paint’s condition.

Glass and Trim

All of the windows are in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches. The light lenses on the front and rear are free from scratches or damage.

Interior

Like a well-tailored suit - comfortable, refined, and with just enough edge to remind you it's built for thrills.

Seats and Carpets

Finished in black leather, the heated, electric seats are in excellent condition, having only covered just over ~21,000 miles. The same can be said for the carpets and fitted set of mats. Inside, the frunk is clean and tidy, and the warning triangle is present.

Please see the interior gallery for more detailed images.

Dashboard

The leather-covered dashboard is in excellent condition with no scuffs or damage. The instrument display is working correctly, no warning lights are present when the car is running, and the odometer shows a reading of ~21,321 miles at the time of our visit.

All of the switchgear is in excellent condition and working correctly.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The leather steering wheel has virtually no signs of age; the buttons work as they should to seamlessly shift up and down the gears for the more spirited driver. The PDK gear selector is in equally good condition.

Mechanics

The 3.8-Litre flat-six sings a symphony of mechanical brilliance, hitting almost 400 horses with the finesse of German engineering.

Engine and Gearbox

The 3.8-litre flat-six fires up without hesitation, and no smoke was seen during the start-up when we visited. Graeme has reported no issues with the car's running. The 911 also has stop/start, which can be turned off - although it is a pleasing sound to hear the flat-six fire up.

Fitted with the now legendary PDK seven-speed automatic gearbox, the change is super smooth, and the 911 pulls like a train through the range.

Suspension and Brakes

Part of the Chrono pack included the adjustable suspension, which firms up at the touch of a button. Everything was working as it should, and no knocks or bangs came from either corner of the car when we took it out for a test run.

The brakes bring the car to a stop in a straight line with no juddering through the pedal, and the discs don't have any visible signs of excessive wear.

The Drive

The 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is like that perfect summer day where the sun is shining, the breeze is just right, and you can’t help but smile every time you hit the accelerator. With its drop-top and iconic silhouette, it's not just a car—it’s an invitation to enjoy life at full throttle, whether you're cruising coastal roads or heading to the café with the wind in your hair and a grin that’s hard to shake off.

Electrics and Other

The 911 is packed with technology, with everything working as it should as far as Graeme is aware. It comes with the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, which integrates navigation, audio controls, and Bluetooth connectivity, all accessible via a touchscreen. The Bose surround sound system offers premium audio quality, ideal for when the roof is down.

The Sport Chrono Package, which allows drivers to adjust driving modes (Sport, Sport Plus, and Normal), has also been optioned. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) provides adjustable shock absorbers for comfort or performance. The Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system helps maintain traction in challenging conditions. Other convenience features include cruise control, dual climate control, and park assist with a rearview camera.

History and Paperwork

Just ~21,321 miles have been enjoyed in this stunning 911 Convertible.

Coming from 8 and a half years ownership, all of the owner’s handbooks are present, along with some invoices for servicing, the last one being carried out on 21.06.2024 at 21,107 miles. The MOT is valid until 10.06.2025, and the only advisory was the perished tyres purely due to lack of use.

For anyone wanting to upgrade from a 996 or 997, the 991 is an excellent choice. Fitted with the PDK gearbox, the 911 is a usable and easy car to enjoy daily, which won’t disappoint. Or you could continue to keep it as a pampered weekend toy that will reward you well every time you take out the 911 Carrera S.

We’ve conducted our usual seller checks, including photo ID and V5, and have also carried out a professional HPI history check. This highlights whether the car has been previously stolen, recorded as being in an accident, or has any outstanding finance. Please note: This does not include a mileage history check.

We've gone to great lengths to photograph and video the car in high-resolution detail—please take your time to review everything in this listing to assess the vehicle's condition.

Viewings are welcome for all our listings. Please get in touch to arrange a suitable time—we just need to speak to you first and receive valid photo ID before confirming.

If there's anything you’re unsure about, no matter how small, please ask the owner in the comments section below before placing your bids. Bids cannot be retracted and form a binding contract if you win—just like in a traditional auction house.

    Key Bidding Facts

    What is your reserve policy?

A reserve is the minimum price that the seller will let the car go for. We work with sellers to set realistic reserves in line with market pricing – we don’t take on vehicles with unrealistic pricing. Reserve met / not met labeling may or may not be announced during the auction – this is just like a traditional auction house, i.e. bidders may only know when they’ve been successful at the end of the auction.

If the reserve hasn’t been met at the end of the auction then we work with the highest bidder to try to work out a deal with the seller.

Why shouldn’t I leave bidding to the last minute?

Auto-Extending Bidding – we’ve developed auto-extending auctions that mimic traditional auction house bidding; it’s a key feature to make sure classic vehicles achieve their true worth. Bids placed in the last one minute automatically extend the auction by two further minutes. So there is no need to leave bidding to the last second.

Security – we operate higher levels of security, so you may need to enter further authorisations against your stored card after you select ‘Place Bid’. All this takes time and may mean you miss the end of the auction by the time the authorisation passes. To guarantee your bid, we recommend at least five minutes are active on the auction when you place your bid.
