Introduction

Porsche's seventh generation 911 - the 991 has everything you need and more!

The 991 Porsche 911 was released in 2011 with an entirely new platform; this gave the new 911 a modern look and feel. Believe it or not, this is the seventh generation 911, but it's only the third new platform ever used on a 911. Along with the new platform, a whole host of modern technology was installed into the 991, from adaptive sports suspension, electromechanical power steering, dynamic engine mounts and the fantastic seven-speed PDK gearbox. A sleek exterior gave the 911 a clean look but retained the classic silhouette we all know and love. The body panels are all crafted from aluminium resulting in an overall weight loss of approximately 45kg. The whole package is powered by the 3.8 litre flat-six that enabled the 911 Carrera 4S to go from 0-60mph in ~4.3 seconds.

This lovely 2014 Carrera 4S comes with ~£22,000 worth of extras, and one of those is the desirable X51 Powerkit which gives approximately an extra 30bhp over the standard 395bhp. It has had just one previous keeper and has an excellent history, all well documented.

In summary, a stunning, high-performance sports car with a superb choice of options - perfect for anyone looking for that special 991 Carrera 4S.

This listing was written from information supplied by Paul after meeting Paul the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Meet the owner

Being a huge Porsche fan, owning the 991 Carrera 4S X51 has been a fantastic experience.

Paul has been the custodian of this stunning one previous owner 2014 Porsche 991 Carrera 4S X51 for approximately 18 months.

While Paul is still extremely happy with the car, and it’s been fantastic fun, and like a lot of Porsche owners, the time has now come to move on to the next level of 911!

Please feel free to ask Paul any questions in the comments below.

Exterior

Guards Red with upgraded BBS alloy wheels, the Carrera 4S looks absolutely amazing.

Wheels and Tyres

The original wheels have been upgraded in favour of a set of 20” BBS CH-R wheels. These have been powder coated in dark satin anthracite and are in excellent condition, as you can see in the media pack.

A small set of spacers have been fitted, which just pushes the wheels out that little bit extra - a very subtle touch.

Aside, it's not often we see a wheel change from factory standard on a 911 that we like, but this change is perfect - suits the car fully.

Fitted with four new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres in December 2021, these are in excellent condition too.
Please see the image gallery to take a closer look at the wheels.

Bodywork

Looking around the car, we saw no dings to mention with all panel gaps and bodywork looking in excellent condition. Paul has fitted GT2 RS side skirts, giving the 911 a more aggressive stance and compliments the wheel choice.

We've highlighted in more detail our observations through our hi-resolution images and videos, so please take time to look through all the media files for a detailed view at what’s on offer and for you to assess the condition of the car for yourselves.

Paint

An iconic colour for an iconic model - Guards Red on a 911 is a match made in heaven.

The paintwork is simply fantastic - there are a few tiny stone chips, but fewer than you would expect for the mileage. The 911 also benefits from having a Gyeon Ceramic coating to help prevent any unwanted scratches.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these hi-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

Glass and Trim

The windows are in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches to be seen.

The trim around the windows is also in excellent condition.

The headlights and taillights all work as they should, and none of the lenses have any splits or cracks.

Interior

Having the perfect exterior colour can only mean one complementary interior colour; black leather with the carbon fibre trim pack.

Seats and Carpets

The black leather, heated and electric seats are in excellent condition. The bolster on the driver's side has the very smallest amount of colour wear to the bolster, and when we say small, it really is.

The passenger seat, along with the rear seats, look pretty much like new.

Both door cards are also in superb condition with no scuffs or marks.

The carpet throughout the cabin is extremely clean, as are the factory Porsche mats which show no real wear to speak of.

The boot area is also clean and tidy, and the warning triangle is present.

Please see the interior gallery for more detailed images.

Dashboard

The black dashboard is finished with the carbon fibre trim pack and looks stunning, and there are no marks to point out.

The instruments work perfectly with no warning lights displayed when the 911 is running. The odometer shows a reading of ~58,632 miles, which tallies up with the service and MOT history.

Please see the interior gallery for more hi-resolution images.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The Sportdesign steering wheel is finished in grey Alcantara to match the headlining; the steering wheel is in superb condition with minimal signs of use. There are paddle shifters to the rear should you fancy some spirited driving.

The gear knob is in excellent condition; there are no unsightly scratches to the finish or the surround.

Please see the interior gallery for more detailed images.

Mechanics

The 3.8 litre flat-six also benefits from the desirable X51 Powerkit, pushing the output to ~430hp.

Engine and Gearbox

Without hesitation, the 911s 3.8 litre flat-six fires up and sounds fantastic, and there are no untoward noises or smoke from cold. After the initial start, the revs lower to a quieter tone, and for those who prefer something a touch louder, you can press the exhaust button to open up the electronic valve, releasing the full tone of the flat-six.

Fitted with the seven-speed PDK gearbox, this has to be one of the smoothest changing gearboxes out there. The shift is hardly noticeable when going up or down either automatically or using the paddles.

Suspension and Brakes

Aside from being an all-wheel drive car, the suspension package has different settings. You can opt for Sport mode, which stiffens things slightly, or full Sport Plus mode for a stiffer setting more suited to track use. The ride is excellent, with no knocks or rattles coming from either corner of the car.

You may have noticed the 911 sits a tad lower than the factory - this is thanks to the addition of 30mm Eibach lowering springs.

Bringing you to a stop are 340mm front and 330mm rear drilled discs, which are more than capable of stopping the 911 in a hurry.

The Drive

Whether you are driving the 911 around town, taking it for a blast along the country lanes or even pressing the Sport and Sport Plus buttons to venture on a race circuit, the 911 is an exceptionally well-built machine to please everybody's' driving style.

Then we have the looks! Just look at it - we wouldn’t change a thing… the 991 looks fantastic.

Electrics and Other

All the switchgear is in excellent condition and working as it should, with no issues reported. One of the options chosen when the car was new was to have the Burmester high-end surround system fitted, which was a £2,987 option.

Please see the interior gallery for more detailed images.

History and Paperwork

With over ~£22,000 of extras fitted, this 2014 991 Carrera 4S also comes with an excellent service history.

The 911 comes with the original handbooks and service booklet, with five stamps carried out. The car has had regular brake fluid changes and three long-life record stamps. The paperwork shows several invoices for work carried out and some parts purchased.

Fitted with a Porsche tracker, this is no longer activated, but Paul has had installed a Scorpiantrack Driver Thatcham Category S5 vehicle tracking system; this would need to be subscribed to by the new custodian.

For anyone looking for a 991 Carrera 4S, look no further - the specification and condition of this 2014 911 is superb, to say the least.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks, including photo ID, V5 and also actioned a HPi check on the vehicle.

We've summarised our own view on the car based on information gained from the seller in the listing above, however, and as you can see, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the car in hi-resolution detail - this has been done for you to make your own assessment from the comfort of your sofa. So please sit back, have a cuppa and take your time to review everything on this listing in order to make your own assessment on the vehicle's condition. Viewings are also welcomed with all our listings, so please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - we just need to speak to you first and receive a valid photo ID before confirming.

If there's anything you're unsure about, no matter how small, then please first ask the owner in the comments area below before placing your bid/s, as bids can't be retracted and form a binding contract if you win the car - just like a traditional auction house.

Hi Paul,
The ad says one previous owner, is that one in total, or are you the second owner ?
Thanks in advance

Thanks Paul, I actually found that after I’d messaged. Having looked over the hi-res pics, does the roof at the front drivers side close to the rail and windscreen seal have a small blemish/bubbling ? Hard to tell with all the reflection

Hi Paul991,

a couple of questions

1. How old the battery is and is it a Porsche battery?

2. Does it have phone prep or Nav? It’s not always a given that they have it as standard.

Thanks,
JJM
