Introduction
Kevin Jacutan
These kit cars make for the ideal Sunday drivers car with their lightweight open top sports car format.
The Super Spec was the top of the line model from kit car manufacturer Robin Hood Sports Cars. These cars offered extremely good value for money compared to other similar manufacturers, this was definitely part of the appeal and popularity for these lightweight racers. Compared to other kit cars, the Robin Hood Super Spec came with all new parts as a complete kit, the only refurbished element being the rear axle.
Coming from the original owner, this car was completed back in 2006. It's covered some ~8,300 miles in that time. Equipped with a 2.0L Rover engine, rear axle with LSD, disc brakes all round, Recaro sports seats and finished in an iconic yellow paint and polished metal finish, it's a smart package.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Hi there, on the MOT check it states the V5 was issued on the 6th March this year, is there a reason for this, many thanks
Hi there. Where is the spare wheel kept?
Liam
The tyres have been filled some water based puncture stuff! And as a result although a spare wheel is included in the sale I have not carried one with me for years.
Thank you for the reply. Just one other thing, if spare wheel is included, where does it go on the vehicle?
Does it fit on the rear panel and are there fittings for it?
Thank you.
Liam
The car has. Even modified since I last carried a spare wheel but it would be possible to carry it on the rear panel and bumper but you would need to drill some holes.
Fyi the spare wheel has not been powder coated black like the wheel on the car so is in the original silver.
hi there, does it have a hood/wet weather gear or cover?
Mike
There are 2 hoods one which I have used is the “Surrey” type which attaches to the windscreen and the roll bar, but included in the sale is the full wet weather kit supplied by the manufacturer although you would need to make some “L” brackets as I couldn’t find them when I was pulling all the bits and pieces together.

There is no info on servicing, I assume self serviced? Please can you say What has been done and when? Thanks
Mike sorry for the delay in replying, it’s been a very busy day. The car has been serviced by myself and typically the oil and filter have been changed every other year (it being a low mileage car) although when we have used the car for touring then the oil would be changed before the trip. Coolant was last changed about 3 years ago.
The only thing that I would do if I was keeping the car would be to change the cam belt.
