Introduction
Glynn Parry
Code named Zest during the development - the TR4 had a more modern designed body, styled by Giovanni Michelotti.
The Triumph TR4 was first introduced in 1961 with production continuing until 1965. The TR4 was based on the chassis and drivetrain of its predecessor the TR3, but with a more powerful engine. Styling and modernisation was provided by long-term Triumph partner, Giovanni Michelotti, who also styled cars for Ferrari and Maserati. This 1964 car has the rare distinction of only having two previous owners recorded on the log book, where the original owners had the car through the sixties and enjoyed the car for 52 years.
This UK RHD comes to market from ~2 year ownership. It has most recently had an exterior refresh in 2020, has factory fitted wire wheels, cabin heater, and just 2 previous owners, the majority with the original owners.
This listing was written from information supplied by Glynn after meeting Nik the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

i have just driven it up to my local garage as i hadnt the faintest what you were talking about.
if you mean the small 3 inch span each side of the boot, there is signs of a tiny hairline crack
As a previous owner of both a TR4A and TR5 can I ask if the welds across the rear panels atop the boot are soft welds? The original welds would have been hard and have shown signs of cracks re the rear suspension below. Soft is better.
