Jacob Boodrie
Michelotti's masterpiece finished in Magenta, this 3.0L V8 powered convertible offers everything you'd ever want on your next road trip.
The Stag is a great looking and great sounding British sports car with a huge following, it's a 2+2 sports tourer which was produced between 1970 and 1978 by the British Triumph Motor Company and styled by Giovanni Michelotti - one very talented Italian designer. Packing a punch with its 3.0L V8 which offers 145BHP and a top speed of 120MPH.
This car comes to market from ~2.5 years ownership, over which time the current owner has spent significant money on the mechanical aspects. An engine rebuild was carried out in 2021, as well as more recent tuning and radiator coring and electric fan installation coming at a cost of over ~£12,000, and the car had an interior re-trim in leather in 2010. Finished in Magenta, it's quite the head-turner, and comes to market with a keen reserve.

I WANT ONEAsk Questions
Hi
Is it correct the car is mechanically sound
Does car have MOT
Hiya. The current MOT runs until Jan 2023. In my view the car is mechanically sound and I’ve had a massive amount of work done on it (see paperwork) to address any issues and anticipate any problems. Engine rebuild, electric fan fitted, carb rebuild and set-up, 500 mile retorque, radiator re-core, choke cable replacement, brakes checked over, etc. I’d done around 650 miles in the past with no issues; the water pump failed last month which I’ve since had replaced (see invoice). I doubt you’d find another Stag on the market with this much having been done/spent on the engine. Brakes, clutch, gears all work well.
All that said, it’s a 50 year old Triumph Stag which is sold as seen and without warantee (standard auction terms). Stags are beautiful cars, but they do need to be maintained properly and it helps to have a good understanding of the mechanicals.
