Introduction
Kevin Jacutan
A stylish and well equipped fuel-injected Golf, a cracking 80s hatchback cabriolet.
In '76 Karmann presented Volkswagen with a convertible variant of the Golf, which featured a simple folding roof and later a roll bar introduced for safety purposes. Over the Golf's production, the body remained unchanged despite a wide variety of trim levels being introduced.
This example is coming to market from ~31 years ownership. Grandmother, mother, and now son the current custodian have had the car in the family since 1991. It comes with tons of provenance from this time, and presents in remarkably good condition considering the age and mileage. Serviced including timing belt change at the start of this year, we love cars coming from long ownership like this, and hope you appreciate it too, see the full details below.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Kevin after meeting Dean the custodian, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Hi Dean I noticed the Golf on Ebay is this an auction or is it a set price ? I’m interested either way cheers Kev.
Is the car moted and taxed so it can be collected to drive home if won or will it need collecting via trailer ?
I
Hi Kev, to answer the question with regards the advertising, we run across a number of platforms with details that the car is live on auction with us. On the point of the car being ready to drive, I’ll let Dean answer that, please do watch all the content like the “On the road” video, and you can run an online check with the cars registration number of A750NBA as pictured in the paperwork to see current Tax/MOT status https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax Best, Kulraj – Trade Classics
Hi Kev,
Thanks for the interest as Kulraj has already mentioned it is an auction and for sale exclusively through trade classics.
The car is MOT’d having passed with no advisories and is valid to December 15th 2022 , we prepared the car for sale with a new cambelt kit, 2 new tyres and 2 tyres the previous year (all matching) and a full service all at the same time.
The car is currently SORN so would have to be taxed by the new owner to drive away, this could be done online on the day as insurance and MOT are in place
Thanks
Dean
