Introduction
Dom Ginn
An even hotter hatch - the R32 is arguably the start of VW's performance-focused 'R' line.
The R32 Mk4 offers an incredible amount of power with its transverse six-cylinder engine at 241bhp, taking Europe's best-selling car to 60mph in 6.3 seconds. The throttle control is designed in such a way that it responds to the slightest movement of the accelerator, with a top speed of 150mph, you'll be able to get anywhere in style, speed and with the practicality this hatchback offers. Only 500 were ever produced for the UK market between 2002-2004 - this RHD example has been imported from Guernsey.
Paige has been the proud owner of the Golf R32 example for the last 2 years and loved every second, mentioning how effortlessly the VR6 accelerates and how beautiful it sounds while doing so. The car has recently had a new timing chain and clutch replacement while remaining in highly original stock form; an ideal example among like-minded VW enthusiasts.

The MOT in July 2021 reported the following advisories. Have they been done?
Repair as soon as possible (minor defects):
Nearside Front Track rod end ball joint dust cover damaged or deteriorated, but preventing the ingress of dirt (2.1.3 (g) (i))
Offside Front Track rod end ball joint dust cover damaged or deteriorated, but preventing the ingress of dirt (2.1.3 (g) (i))
Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement rearmost bush unbonding (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Hi, any work done is detailed in the invoices. I was going to get the minor defects done at next MOT however due to circumstances I’m selling the car earlier than I had anticipated. In regards to the advisories, (bush worn), this still hasn’t been done as VW specialist said it’s only just starting to unbond and didn’t need doing for a while. The car has done 6,000 miles in a year so shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Thanks, Paige
Hi, is this vehicle an import, as the previous mot history is only for the last 2 years, and it was registered in the uk 2 years ago? If so where was it imported from and is there any documentation illustrating the annual inspections prior to 2020?
Hi, the car was imported from Guernsey in 2020 – but this does not affect insurance at all, although tax is slightly cheaper than usual at £270 per year. I have been in contact with Guernsey’s equivalent of the DVLA who informed me the car had 2 previous owners there, but they don’t do MOTs so there is no MOT history until it was imported to the UK. However, I have the full service history which includes all services in Guernsey (of which there were 12). When I bought the car, I had it inspected by a specialist (VW Mad) who informed me the only issue was the chains being out of tolerance, which I have since had replaced. I have all the paperwork for everything that I have done to the car, and my family are VW enthusiasts so it has been well looked after. Hope that helps, Paige
Ok, thank you for the clarification, can you confirm if the mileage aligns with the current uk status (build up), over the previous 12 services or if you have identified any discrepancies?
There are no discrepancies with the mileage, the car is all UK spec. Cheers, Paige
