Introduction
Paul Wright
Top end luxury in a cruiser capable of seating four - perfect all year round with its all-wheel drive, but definitely better in the summer months with the roof dropped and en route to the Côte d'Azur.
Launched in 2003, the Bentley Continental was the first car to be made under Volkswagen management, and has succeeded to become one of Bentley's finest grand tourers produced, using mass production manufacturing techniques from the factory in Crewe, Cheshire.
There were a few different models and updates to the first generation Continental, which was produced up until 2011. With the launch of the second generation proving popular, more models were made available such as the Continental GTC W12, the GT Speed Coupe, the GT Speed convertible, and of course, the model we have here, the Continental GT V8 S. A keen eye is needed to spot the subtle differences, such as the more pronounced wheel arches and different diffuser designs, depending on the model you chose.
This Bentley, belonging to Matthew, is a 2017 model which is powered by the 4.0 litre twin turbo V8, coupled to the ZF super smooth eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Matthew has owned this car since December 2017, so the car was just under 12 months old. In more recent years Matthew has not been using the car much and as such he'd decided to let someone else have the pleasure of owning this British luxurious grand tourer.
This auction listing was written from information supplied by Paul after meeting Matthew the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.
