Introduction

Colin Bashford
Professional Consigner

This Mustang has everything you’d expect from a standard muscle car, and a Roush-supercharged V8, sporty bodykit, and side-exit exhausts.

The original ‘Pony Car’, the Mustang, was introduced in 1964, offering a sporty coupé design with the power to match—all in an affordable package. Now in its seventh generation, the Mustang has sold over 10 million units. Its success prompted other manufacturers to develop their own rivals, yet the Mustang continues to hold its own today.

Now coming to market after ~2.5 years ownership with our vendor, this fifth-generation Mustang has covered just ~28,128 miles. Finished in a stealthy black-on-black specification, it features an aggressive body kit, side-exit exhausts, and a Roush-supercharged 4.6L V8. Dyno-tested at ~474BHP and 444.3lb-ft of torque, it delivers serious performance. The car comes with two sets of keys, a "Mustang" branded car cover, several service invoices, and a fresh MOT has been carried out, valid until 24.03.2026.

This listing was written from information supplied by Colin after meeting Robert the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.

Exterior

The bonnet bulge and vents are a big giveaway to what lies beneath — this is no ordinary Mustang!

Wheels and Tyres

Fitted with 20" 5-spoke Shelby wheels finished in black, they all appeared to be in good condition with no major damage noted—only some slight scratches in the paint finish. However, some of the rivet details were missing on a few of the wheels.

The rear tyres were a matching pair of Uniroyal RainSport 5s, dated 2021, with a decent amount of tread remaining. On the front, there was a matching pair of Continental ContiSportContact 2 tyres from 2013, which also had decent tread remaining, though we did notice some cracking in the rubber between the treads.

Bodywork

The bodywork on the Mustang appeared to be in good condition, with visually even shut lines. The doors and boot opened and closed without issue, though the bonnet required a bit of force to shut properly.

We didn’t notice any major damage, but we did spot a few small cracks on the front bumper—just below the offside headlight and along the edge of the lower grille on the offside. Additionally, there were quite a few scrapes on the underside of the front bumper, though these are only visible when lying on the ground, and a big mark to the offside wing mirror.

We've highlighted in more detail our observations through our hi-resolution images and videos, so please take time to look through all the media files for a detailed view at what’s on offer, and for you to assess the condition of the car for yourselves.

Paint

The black paint appeared to be in decent shape with even coverage. As expected with a black car, some swirl marks were visible in direct sunlight. We also noticed a few heavier scratches on both front arches and the offside front wing, though a professional detailer should be able to rectify these imperfections quite easily.

The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. So please take the time to fully assess these hi-resolution images and videos of the car, for you to make up your own minds about the condition of the paint.

Glass and Trim

The glass around the car appeared to be in decent condition, though we did notice some small stone chips on the windscreen. The side and rear windows are tinted, and the rear quarter windows have been replaced with vents.

All the lights appeared to be in good condition, with the rear lights featuring a tint. The body kit seemed to fit well, though we did notice a couple of missing sections on the front lower grille. Additionally, some corrosion was noted on both front fog light surrounds. Please review the photos and video below to assess the condition of the glass and trim for yourself.

Interior

The Mustang logo on the steering wheel and the two large dials serve as a reminder of the heritage of the model.

Seats and Carpets

The comfortable leather sports seats appear to be in good condition, with only some minor age-related marks on the bolsters of the driver’s seat. The rear seats also looked to be in great condition.

The carpets presented well, with no major stains noted. However, we did notice that the leather sections of the door cards were sagging slightly.

Dashboard

The dashboard features two dials and appeared to be in good condition, with no fogging or damage noted. The odometer displayed ~28,128 miles at the time of our visit (28,137 at the MOT).

The original stereo is still fitted, and the red starter button takes pride of place in the centre of the dashboard.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

A three-spoke, Mustang-badged steering wheel was present and appeared to be in decent condition, though we did notice some scratches on the edges of each spoke.

The gear stick also looked to be in good shape, with no rips or tears in the gaiter.

Mechanics

Building the revs unleashes the supercharger whine, reminiscent of the GT500 near the start of I Am Legend.

Engine and Gearbox

The supercharged 4.6L V8 started from cold with ease—once a battery pack was attached, as the car hadn’t been used in a while. The V8 burble from the exhaust combined with the supercharger whine from under the bonnet makes for a fantastic sound.

The 6-speed manual gearbox has a short throw and engaged gears smoothly, with no unusual noises or crunching noticed. Watch the video to see the car in action on the road.

Suspension and Brakes

The car sits quite low to the ground, but we didn’t notice any unwanted noise from the suspension while out on the road.

The brakes appeared to be in good visual condition and stopped the car smoothly, with no pulling on the steering. Robert’s mechanic, Fabio, who took us out on the drive, mentioned that he had recently changed the brakes.

The Drive

Out on the road, the Mustang performed well, encouraging you to push on as the noise from both the exhaust and supercharger builds. The engine pulled strongly, showcasing its low-down torque, while the short-throw gearbox made for an engaging drive.

The suspension felt great—comfortable yet well-planted on the road. While driving on a particularly bumpy section, we did hear some scraping from underneath. As mentioned before, the car sits quite low, and we noticed some scrapes on the underside of the front bumper.

Electrics and Other

We didn’t test all the electrics in the car, but the radio did work—though you’d need to crank it up to hear it over the V8. As far as he knows, everything was in working order according to Robert.

History and Paperwork

This Mustang has been fitted with Roush supercharger kit, along with exterior styling over a standard GT, and previously has been dyno-tested at ~474BHP.

Coming to market after ~2 years and 4 months with Robert and having covered only ~28,137 miles, this Mustang has had new brakes fitted last year and comes with a fresh MOT valid until 24.03.2026. It comes with two sets of keys and a Mustang branded car cover.

There are various receipts for ignition coils, brake discs and pads, and a battery. Additionally, there are a few receipts for oil and filters. As there is no service book, it appears that servicing has been carried out by the owners. Previous MOT certificates are also included.

We’ve done all our usual seller checks including photo ID, V5 and also actioned a history check on the vehicle - this is a professional check operated by HPI that will highlight if the car has been previously stolen, recorded as being in an accident, or have any outstanding finance - note, this does not include a mileage history check.

We've summarised our own view on the car based on information gained from the seller in the listing above, however, and as you can see, we go to great lengths to photograph and video the car in hi-resolution detail - this has been done for you to make your own assessment from the comfort of your sofa. So please sit back, have a cuppa and take your time to review everything on this listing in order to make your own assessment on the vehicle's condition. Viewings are also welcomed with all our listings, so please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time - we just need to speak to you first and receive a valid photo ID before confirming.

If there's anything you're unsure about, no matter how small, then please first ask the owner in the comments area below before placing your bid/s, as bids can't be retracted and form a binding contract if you win the car - just like a traditional auction house.
