With the Government decision to ban sales of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030, the race is on for manufacturers to deliver stand-out battery-powered alternatives in the automotive market place.

All-electric cars that are able to meet the day-to-day needs of drivers, while also offering good value, plenty of style and the all-important kerb appeal are the cars that are winning over hearts-and-minds of even the most seasoned petrol head.

The model here is the upgraded AWD Extended Range version which boasts a ten-speaker B&O audio system, full-length panoramic glass roof, powered tailgate and an Active Park Assist function. The Extended Range version provides a reported ~379 miles on the road, which is a real bonus for any future owner.

With just one previous owner, less than ~15,000 miles driven and 'almost new' condition, this is well worth a look as an excellent jump into the electric vehicle market.

With its impressive full-length panoramic glass roof and Grabber Blue paint work, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is a real head turner with its striking modern looks.

Wheels and Tyres

The 19" multi-spoke alloys show with a lovely polished silver / anodised black colour contrast and present in great condition around the Mach-E. Mustang branded centre caps look in good condition too.

Bridgestone T005's are fitted to the car and show with a late 2020 date code on the tyres. The fronts are running on 225/55 with the rears set up with 225/55 also, given the limited mileage on the car the tyres of course are in good overall condition.

Bodywork

The Ford presents beautifully - great looking, panels showing true around the shut lines and minimal marking on the car overall.

Paint

A truly captivating coat of Grabber Blue, an optional paint coat costing over ~£1,000 extra from factory, shows remarkably well when walking around the car. We noted no concerning signs of paint chipping or markings when looking around the exterior.

Again, we have taken high resolution images and videos of the car for you to assess the condition of the bodywork for yourselves. The images are taken from a few different angles to show off the car as you would see it if you were standing there for yourselves. Glass and Trim

The glass sections around the Mach-E showed without any issue or concern with windscreen, side windows, mirrors and lenses all appearing in a excellent condition with no significant chips, cracks or scratching that we observed during our visit.

Interior

The modern setup of the 15.5" portrait touchscreen in the cabin area gives ultimate control for all the tech contained in the Mustang Mach-E.

Seats and Carpets

Finished with Black Onyx leather with Blue Stitching the seats are welcoming, inviting and a comfortable place to take in the road ahead from the cabin space. The seats show with barely a mark on them, as you would expect given the quality of the rest of the interior on show here.

Carpet sections show with very few issues. Given the car has travelled relatively few miles over its past few months of ownership the car presents in a really clean and respectable way.

Dashboard

A truly beautiful and minimalist setup greets the driver and passengers when they enter the cabin area with a 10.2" digital cluster on the dash area. Great design, lovely touches of Mustang styling and a massive 15.5" portrait orientation touchscreen makes up the centre section of the interior.

The screen houses most of the main controls but still has physical buttons for the lights, handbrake, hazards and drive selector dial should these be required.

The instruments are all nice and clean with the odometer reporting ~14,567 miles at the time of our visit. Our interior gallery section takes you over some closer images of the Mach-E dashboard, head over and see the cars interior in finer detail.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The steering wheel holds two clusters of buttons for the cruise control on one side and media toggles on the other. These work well, without concern and the current owner reports no issues with the electrical elements here.

Given that the car is electric and automatic, the gear option selector is subtle and offers simplistic drive mode selection.

Mechanics

This smart looking SUV is not just a stunning family cruiser, with a 0-60 mph time of ~5.1 seconds, the Ford Mach-E keeps the Mustang heritage alive with its pace and agility.

Engine and Gearbox

Driving an electric car is a rather different approach to a fuel driven car, with battery power and energy consideration in mind, it's important to plan long distance journeys and ensure the car is charged after the journey comes to an end.

The Ford is a really quiet ride, handling well and performing as to be expected for an almost new car.

Head over to the 'Mechanical Review' video for an overview of the engine, here you can see the car start up from cold and taken out on a short drive with the owner.

Suspension and Brakes

The 'On the Road' shows just how easy it is to drive the Mach-E. With the cabin quiet and peaceful, the suspension showed no issues with the roads and we heard no knocks, bangs or any unwanted noises from the ride.

Brakes worked extremely well working as they should whilst out in the Ford. An interesting feature in an electric car like the Mach-E, is the 'one pedal' approach to driving where the brakes will activate, recharging the battery as the car slows, without the need to actually press the brake pedal.

Looking underneath the Mach-E, the suspension and metalwork showed in a good condition. Please view the mechanical review video and photographs to see close-up images from underneath the car.

The Drive

With its dual motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) the Mach-E is capable of delivering some impressive performance on multiple types of terrain. Another great feature is the ability to change the drive modes on the fly in the car with choices of 'Whisper', 'Active' and 'Untamed'. We take the Ford through the drive options and launch mode over in our video.

Driving smoothly with the suspension soaking up the roads with ease, the journey was really refined and a very comfortable place to be in the cabin space.

Electrics and Other

The Mach-E includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, smartphone charging pad, adaptive cruise control and front and rear parking sensors. The crowning glory in the Ford is the 15.5" multi function touchscreen which controls all of the tech elements in the car, a really incredible feature.

As this model is the AWD upgrade, the Mach-E has Extended Range (~379 miles on the road), ten-speaker B&O audio system, panoramic glass roof, powered tailgate and an Active Park Assist function.

All of the electronics are said to be functioning as they should and there were no issues during our visit. James, the owner, reports that all elements are fully working to his knowledge.

History and Paperwork

With just one previous owner and less than ~15,000 miles travelled this Ford is as close as you'd get to a brand new Mach-E without the factory price tag.

Given the limited mileage of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the service history is still as it was straight from the factory. The car is too new to qualify yet for an MOT which is a bonus for the new owner given that the expiry on this is not due until June 2024.
