The Boxster offers a thrilling driving experience at a more accessible price point than a 911.
The Boxster (986) was Porsche's first car designed as a roadster since the 550 Spyder. A mid-engined flat-six, it was released in 1996 ahead of the 911 (996), with which it shared much of the front-end body, interior and engine architecture. The car has been a huge success for the marque and was its biggest volume-selling vehicle until the Cayenne was released in 2003.
Being a 1999 model, this car comes with the larger 2.7-litre engine and is said to be one of the twin roller-bearing engines, minimising the potential IMS problems leaving you to fully enjoy the most affordable way into Porsche ownership.
This car comes from ~1 year ownership with an MOT valid until 06.07.2024, however Rob (the owner) will have a fresh MOT test carried out before the sale.
This listing was written from information supplied by Paul after meeting Rob the owner, and having visited and photographed the vehicle.
