The Silver Seraph offers incredibly luxurious motoring, with its beautiful and bold sweeping lines, it's unmissable.

A worthy successor to the Silver Spirit, the Silver Seraph made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1998. Beautiful styling, an opulent Connolly leather interior, Burl Walnut trim, and BMW’s highly capable M73 engine came together in a breathtakingly luxurious package. V12 power is delivered through a five-speed automatic gearbox, propelling this substantial car to a specified top speed of 140 MPH. Hand-built in the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, the Silver Seraph had a base price, when new, of just under £156,000.

The car has been well looked after, with plenty of bills showing diligent and careful ownership. It comes to market from ~7.5 years ownership where it has been serviced annually. This is a lovely example, finished in Royal Blue over a Magnolia leather interior, and it presents exceptionally well, it comes with a fresh MOT valid until 15.01.2026

Exterior

A truly luxurious carriage, finished in Royal Blue, this Seraph is certainly an eye-catcher.

Wheels and Tyres

The car comes equipped with 16-inch chrome wheels, they present in good, used condition. The RR centre caps are present, and the wheels are wrapped in Avon CR227 "white walled" tyres dated 2022.

The Avon tyres show a significant amount of tread remaining and no signs of cracking from our observations. We have provided exterior photos for you to examine the condition for yourself.

Bodywork

The bodywork of this Silver Seraph appears to be in great condition, with all the panel gaps around the car aligning very well. During our visit, we didn't spot any obvious dings or dents.

Paint

The "Royal Blue" paint exhibits even coverage and consistent colour across each panel.

Glass and Trim

The glass on this Rolls Royce example appears to be in great condition. During our visit, we didn't notice any chips, cracks, or discoloration. The window seals also appear to be in good condition and align with the overall state of the car.

Additionally, the chrome bumpers, door handles, trim and window surrounds are all in great condition.

Interior

Magnolia leather, burl walnut, and deep pile carpets make for a truly lavish interior.

Seats and Carpets

The magnolia leather seats have held their shape very well over the years, as you would expect with cherished ownership.

Dashboard

The dashboard is covered in burl walnut, and presents chrome trimmed instruments and digital display to the driver.

The dashboard in this Rolls-Royce shows no signs of any major damage or scuffs, and no warning lights are displayed. The odometer showed a reading of ~80,160 miles during our visit.

Steering Wheel / Gear Stick

The burl walnut trim continues onto the steering wheel which also has a leather centre, and remains in great condition.

Mechanics

The first 12-cylinder Rolls since the 1939 Phantom III, this V12 is a thing of beauty.

Engine and Gearbox

Equipped with the 5.4L V12 engine, the car benefits with a good amount of servicing over it's life. During our visit, we started the car from cold, and it performed admirably on the road; the engine pulled nicely, idled smoothly, and ran without any faults.

Trevor reports that the car starts from cold without any issues and drives well, with its automatic gearbox providing smooth power to the rear wheels. Be sure to check out the mechanical video to see the car starting from cold, driving around, and for a closer inspection underneath the Rolls Royce Silver Seraph and in the well-maintained engine bay.

Suspension and Brakes

The suspension appears to be in good condition, providing a luxuriously smooth journey on the sweeping Cornish roads.

During our short drive in the car, it exhibited handling characteristics typical of a full size luxury car from this era and came to a stop smoothly without any issues.

The Drive

Sit back and relax, as the drive offered by this Rolls is quite an experience—one that Trevor has thoroughly enjoyed during road trips around the UK.

The car fired up without any issues on the first try. On the road with Trevor, it felt tight and responsive, with ample power to tackle various driving conditions. We didn’t notice any unusual noises coming from the engine or suspension either.

Electrics and Other

While we didn’t test all the electronics during our visit, Trevor reports that to his knowledge, all of them are functional and operational. The car retains its original stereo unit, a centurion media unit in the rear along with a Sony Playstation 2 and screens for the rear passengers.

The car is coming out of a ~7.5 year ownership with Trevor. The car has bags of originality, is unmodified and has been serviced 15 times with Rolls-Royce main dealers and specialists. The car comes in "Royal Blue" over "Magnolia" leather with burl walnut trim, and a lot of additional extras from factory.
