Forget ‘trade prices’ from well known car buying services – we’ll get you a fair market price.
We produce the most detailed listings, meaning 90% of cars we sell don’t undergo viewings. However, when they do, we ID check everyone before they visit you.
Trust us like thousands have.
There’s no need to let your car go below market price to the trade, or risk scammers in the classifieds.
Once agreed, we can have someone out to photograph straight away & get your car live the following week.
We’ll share your car with our 62k strong community & around the web on sites such as AutoTrader & Pistonheads.
As enthusiasts ourselves, we don’t think sellers should be charged – instead, we only charge 6% + VAT commission to the buyer on top of the agreed price.

“Everyone that works at Trade Classics has a genuine passion for cars, & it shows. The valuation guideline was spot on. I went above & beyond preparing my car for sale spending £4,000 on a full service, new brake pads, discs & tyres to ensure the new owner had the best possible car on the market. We made that back on the sale price, so in essence, it gave me a very enjoyable, memorable year of free motoring in a wonderful machine. The best bit was that I wasn’t charged a penny for the sale. Only the buyer paid a 6% + VAT fee. I can’t recommend them enough.”

A few things - but first let's talk about your top options, as modern performance car owner, to sell your car - these include:
.
.
All the above routes has pros and cons - one big disadvantage is that all three, in most cases, will return you far less money, particularly #2 as these target sellers that need to raise the money immediately, so naturally they will offer far less money than you may be able to achieve via options #1 or #3.
.
However, #1 and #3 are all a big hassle - negotiating with dealers, unsure what a 'good deal' is and let alone having to speak to tyre kickers, dreamers and scammers that may be after your vehicle or identity.
.
We're a totally different type of service - think of us as an online marketplace that by adding warranty (if required), finance and free delivery to your car means the number of potential buyers has just skyrocketed. We've been operating since 2017 and have sold over £15m worth of cars with great reviews - all of which puts confidence in buyers minds too.
.
And the best thing, we do absolutely everything and the car stays safely with you.
Yes that's right - our marketplace is all about trust and transparency backed up with the most thorough listings in the industry - this means buyers can make confident decisions from the comfort of their own sofas.
.
Plus buyers get the reassurance of at least six month warranty (either your own existing transferred warranty, or a warranty we pay for and organise) together with finance options and free delivery - so just like buying from a dealer, but importantly saving money in the process making it an attractive deal for them.
.
Also, remember we just charge a 6% + VAT premium on top of the price we agree back to you (there's no seller commissions charged to you) - this premium is amongst the lowest in the industry too. Main dealers or 'sale-or-return' type services typically charge between 10-20% sellers' commission - this means a lot less money back to you via those older sales routes.
.
Also, some more good news, we cap our 6% + VAT premium for cars priced at £70,000 and over. The premium on a £70,000 car is £5,040 inc. VAT, so even if the car's price is £150,000, then the same capped £5,040 premium is charged.
A small commission on top - that's right, we charge just 6% + VAT premium on top of the price we agree back to you (there's no seller commissions charged to you) - this premium is amongst the lowest in the industry and remember we also cover the costs for the delivery and warranty (if required) too.
.
So let's take an example, say you have a 2015 Porsche 911 and we agree a price back to you of £50,000 - then the advertised price that the buyer will see / pay will be £53,600 including the 6%+ VAT premium. The buyer will send us our fee of £3,600, which will also act as a deposit for the car, then they will send you electronically the balance of £50,000, after which you can release the car. We are in the middle making sure it all goes smoothly.
.
Also, some more good news, we cap our 6% + VAT premium for cars priced at £70,000 and over. The premium on a £70,000 car is £5,040 inc. VAT, so even if the car's price is £150,000, then the same capped £5,040 premium is charged to the buyer - this is split further later considering the VAT we pay, as £4,200 is ours and £840 we pay in VAT to HMRC.
.
In most cases the total cost to the buyer will still be a lot less than buying an equivalent vehicle from a specialist or main dealer - so more money not only in your pocket as a seller, but also our buyers get a great deal too - win/win.
Not necessarily - the first step is for you to submit your 2015 or newer modern performance car for valuation via the form on this page.
.
We will then review the car and provide you with an accurate market valuation - we may need to speak to you to discuss the condition and history of the vehicle.
.
During the valuation process we may then offer to handle the sale of the vehicle on your behalf - we will talk you though this process to make sure it's the right decision for both of us.
.
Ultimately we are interested in agreeing good quality and fresh-to-market vehicles from genuine sellers, that will appeal to buyers.
We take this process very seriously, to start off with we begin by understanding your vehicle, for example factory options, condition and mileage. Once we have this information then we analyse the market to gauge your vehicle against recent sales and talk to our team of professionals to estimate any remedial work required.
.
We will put together a considered valuation of where your car sits in the market - but rest assured, this will be more than most car buying services, or the likely return from you advertising it privately yourself.
.
Once we've agreed the price you want back for the car, then we create the Advertised Price which includes our 6% + VAT commission (7.2% inc. VAT total). So let's say you have a 2015 Porsche 911 and we agree a price back to you of £60,000 - then advertised price the seller will pay will be £64,320.
Yes - it's not unusual to have outstanding finance on a vehicle, when this happens we state this clearly on the listing and confirm with you that this will be cleared in full before the sale is completed.
You have a couple of options:
.
We can either remove the car from our marketplace and all the associate advertising across the Internet, e.g. AutoTrader - you are then free to advertise / sell the vehicle for yourself.
.
Or we may offer to continue promoting the car on our marketplace until we find that right buyer - some cars may take a little longer to sell. Don't worry as there is no further tie-in - just give us one day's notice if you want us to remove the car from our marketplace and cancel all advertising.
28 days exclusivity - once your car is live on our marketplace then we just ask for 28 days exclusivity, i.e. a maximum of circa one month to try our very best to sell your car. During this time we ask that the car is only available for sale with us and it's not advertised anywhere else, or with any other service.
.
If in the unlikely event you wish to remove the car from sale during this period then you will be charged 7.2% of the agreed price of the vehicle. This is to cover our costs of consigning the vehicle during the sales preparation process, which includes but is not limited to our time invested to appraise the vehicle, consider its market position, cover any travel and subsistence costs to view the vehicle, and incurred marketing and other internal costs.
.
Post Sale Period (by this we refer to the Sale Period after the 28 days has finished) - you are free to sell or advertise the vehicle to anyone after this period - there are not restrictions.
The car always stays with you - we come out and take all the professional photos of your vehicle with over 200+ images and 1hr of video.
.
We produce the most detailed & transparent listings in the industry - no one goes to the lengths we do. This gives buyers confidence in the sale meaning 90% of cars we sell don’t have viewings; meaning the cars don't need to be in one central location.
We don't charge our sellers any sales commissions.
We don't want any barriers to getting good quality cars from genuine sellers and the 6% + VAT we earn in buyer's commission is how we make our money.
.
You really have noting to lose as we manage everything for you including:
.
* we charge this at cost price and will work it out based on your location. Typically if you live within an hour of one of our photographers then this will be about £235 + VAT. Professional photography is very important to showcase your car to the best of its potential resulting in higher returns to you.
We just ask for a contribution towards the photography from our sellers.

Maybe - however, we usually only agree fresh to market cars that have not been widely advertised anywhere else. This is because the price has already been set and makes achieving a higher price more difficult.
.
Also buyers may be put off seeing the car not sell by one process and then appear for sale within another.
.
However, please submit your car and we're review the suitability.
The security and safety of our community is our top priority.
.
Before a person is allowed to contact you or request a viewing, then they must submit a credit or debit card for us to validate and also have a phone conversation with us about pricing. We also need to see proof of their ID and a recent utility bill matching their address.
Our terms and conditions are very straightforward.
.
For example, the sale is between the buyer (person or company buying the car) and you (the seller). We are a marketplace that sits between the two of you facilitating the sale. We pay for collection / delivery of the car and also arrange and pay for the warranty, which is in the buyers name. The car is sold on a 'Sold as Seen' basis with no additional warranties given. Essentially it's a private sale - we are in the middle making sure it all goes through smoothly and take a 6% + VAT fee from the buyer for all our work.
.
Honesty and transparency are important to us so we don't have anything unusual in our terms and conditions - we do ask you to give us exclusivity during the sale period, i.e. you don't advertise it anywhere else. This is to protect us as it takes a lot of time and money in advertising to complete a sale. It also makes sure we get the most money back for you - duplicate sales can confuse buyers.
